STASH Parawing. The innovative single-skin design with double-skin tips ensures stable flight and effective depower across a wide range of wind conditions and riding angles. The Stash is lightweight yet compact to pack away – ideal for anyone seeking the pure gliding sensation over long distances and maximum freedom on the go.

The STASH was developed over several months by our wing and kite designer Ken Winner in close collaboration with downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer. The goal: to create a parawing that not only serves as propulsion for foiling, but also masters the unique challenges of downwind foiling – making the ultimate flight experience even more accessible.

The Stash features a special ultra-light 30g paragliding ripstop canopy that lifts off earlier, stays airborne longer, packs down smaller, and smooths out gusts more effectively – clearly setting it apart from traditional kite and wing materials. The use of thinner bridle lines was also a key step in minimizing drag and weight while further optimizing pack size – a consistent part of our parawing-specific design philosophy.

The Stash combines the best of two worlds: the powerful performance of a single-skin wing with the control of double-skin elements. The easy-to-pack single-skin technology is complemented by closed cells at the tips – providing enhanced stability and control, even when depowered. The clever construction allows precisely adjustable depower with just one simple hand movement, while the constantly pressurized tips reliably maintain tension for controlled flight behavior.

A stabilized leading edge and reduced ribs further enhance flight stability, glide efficiency, and pack size – delivering an even more intuitive, lighter, and more efficient flying experience.

Ultimately, it’s about the feeling of true foiling when your parawing is perfectly stashed away!

Single Skin vs. Double Skin
- Single-skin has a higher lift coefficient than double-skin, delivering more power for a given wing size.
- Double-skin offers greater flight stability, especially at higher riding angles.
- Single-skin is more compact.
- Single-skin requires no drainage.
- Single-skin with double-skin tips drains much faster after submersion than full double-skin designs.
- Single-skin with double-skin tips is more stable when depowered than full single-skin designs.

Recommended Board & Foil Setup

Don’t expect parawinging to be as easy as wing foiling! Balancing on your board is more challenging without a stable, inflated wing in your hands, so we recommend using a larger board, especially for your first sessions.

Pumping onto the foil requires more leg work. We recommend using a larger glide foil, as typically used in SUP downwind foiling. A major advantage over SUP downwind foiling is that you can get onto the foil with a significantly shorter board, such as the Skybrid – the perfect choice! If you already have a downwinder board, that will also work great – especially for your first rides.

Adjustable Power
Easily adaptable to different riding conditions – for optimal performance.

Easy Relaunch
Effortless relaunch thanks to visual guidance – for quick and smooth transitions.

To make your first sessions more successful, we’ve put together some recommendations based on your weight and foil level.

Intermediate Winger
- 60–70 kg: 85–100L Skybrid / 90–105L Downwinder + Glide 900–1100
- 70–80 kg: 100L Skybrid / 95–115L Downwinder + Glide 1100
- 80–90 kg: 115L Skybrid / 105–115L Downwinder + Glide 1100–1350
- 90–100 kg: 115L Skybrid / 110–115L Downwinder + Glide 1350
- 100+ kg: 130L Skybrid / 115–135L Downwinder + Glide 1350

Advanced Winger & Downwind Foiler
- 60–70 kg: 55–70L Skybrid / 90–95L Downwinder + Glide 750–900
- 70–80 kg: 70L Skybrid / 90–100L Downwinder + Glide 900
- 80–90 kg: 85L Skybrid / 90–105L Downwinder + Glide 1100
- 90–100 kg: 100L Skybrid / Glide 1100
- 100+ kg: 100–115L Skybrid / Glide 1350

Warning / Disclaimer
Be aware of the risks when using a parawing.

The bridle lines are thin and can wrap around hands, fingers, or other body parts – especially in breaking waves, which we strongly recommend avoiding. Once the parawing catches wind and the bridle lines are under tension, it can be difficult to free your hands or fingers, potentially resulting in injury. Before heading onto the water, practice and understand how to place the parawing in the water to release line tension.

Most parawingers use the wing without a leash to avoid entanglement with lines and bridles. If you release the parawing, it will float on the surface for a while. Make sure to paddle back to it before it sinks below the surface, as it becomes difficult to locate – only the carbon handle floats.

Be aware of the risks of changing wind conditions during downwind sessions, especially in open ocean conditions. The wind may drop while you are offshore, making a relaunch with the parawing difficult or impossible. Always wear a flotation vest, carry your phone and/or a safety tracker, and avoid going on downwind runs alone whenever possible. Always maintain visual distance to shore so you can paddle back with your hands if necessary.
