It all
started with the question of whether a sandal could protect the toes. The Keen
Newport sandal answered this question with a clear "yes"! Today, the
Keen Newport sandal stands for travel, outdoor and adventure. This milestone is also the cornerstone for
the entire Keen brand.
After the
terrible tsunami disaster in the Indian Ocean in 2004, Keen was instrumental in
providing aid to the affected regions. Keen put its entire marketing budget for
the year into a relief package to support the work of disaster relief.
From that
moment on, sustainability and Keen were inseparable, and the brand culture that
has been maintained to this day was born.
Started in
California, the headquarters moved to Portland in 2006. In a specially restored
building, production initially began with a focus on work and safety footwear.
Today, the range consists of many different shoe models for a wide variety of
uses.
Keen
sandals are of course available for women, men and children in different colors
and materials.
