- VIVID TECHNOLOGY WITH OPTICS BY ZEISS®: VIVID is a patented lens technology developed by Giro in collaboration with ZEISS® Optics that improves vision on snow by enhancing contrast and sharpness. VIVID reduces eye fatigue, improves reaction time, enhances riding safety and delivers precise vision without color saturation. VIVID Lens Technology effectively manipulates blue light by allowing contrast-enhancing blue light to pass through while blocking harmful UV light. VIVID filters out the haze and allows your eyes to see the lane better so you can focus on enjoying the ride.
- EXV+ (EXPANSION VIEW) UNSURPASSED PERIPHERAL VISION: A wide field of vision is important. Whether another rider appears on your right or an untracked powder slope appears on your left, peripheral vision allows you to avoid hazards and quickly recognize changing slope conditions. In our testing and analysis, the Giro product design team found that the two most important factors for a wide peripheral field of vision are the shape of the lenses and the frame - not the size of the goggle.
So when developing EXV+ (and EXV), Giro created two features for the widest field of vision on the mountain:
1. proprietary hemispherical lens with precise curvature to optimize the field of view.
2. flat frame that keeps the sides of the lens close to your face.
Our EXV+ technology, which is used in the models, combines these features so that you can see more of the mountain than ever before.
