HOW TO SNAKEBOARD
Step 1:
Put on safety gear
Step 2: PRACTICE
Find a flat surface like a parking lot. Begin by placing one foot on each footplate. For your first attempt, you might want to hold onto a wall or a person until you find your balance.
Practice: Turn your toes towards each other (X-stance) and then away from each other (O-stance) until you feel confident.
Step 3: START RIDING
Swing your arms and pivot your feet to move the board forward. Follow the graphic above for the correct movement.
Starting position: Arms back, toes turned inward.
Start riding: Swing arms in the direction of travel, toes turning outward. Alternate between #1 and #2.
If you have difficulty: Try it on a very flat surface.
Advanced tip: Lean the board into the turn for extra momentum, similar to snowboarding.
Step 4: BRAKING
Brake by making a long turn (frontside or backside turn), swing your arms against the direction of travel, and then jump off smoothly.
