FREE BINDING Setting Read more Show less
We do not want to make any compromises when it comes to security and need some information about yourself. You can do this comfortably from home, just write your age, weight, height, sole length of your ski boots and your level of experience in the shopping cart/check-out in the designated comment field under the delivery address when you complete the purchase.
In order to adapt your professional binding setting to you, we need your ski boots on site. Optional we offer a shipping label within DE/AT/BE/NE/LUX, with which you can send in your ski boot. The binding is then professionally set with the ski boot in our workshop and sent back together with the ski. If you want to choose this option, please let us know in the comment field provided in the shopping cart/check-out.
If you expressly do not want the bindings to be set, have the bindings adjusted and checked by a specialist before your first ride. The best thing to do in this case is to visit a competent Stöckli specialist retailer or, even better, our Showroom in Düsseldorf.
Please note: if you do not want a binding setting, please let us know via the comment field.
Regardless of the binding mounting option you choose, we will contact you if we have any questions.
This article is a service that we can only provide for our customers who buy a new ski/ski binding combination.

Your Type of Skis:
The right ski length results from a combination of your body size and your skiing ability, as well as the type of ski. Giant slalom, all-mountain or freeride skis, for example, tend to be ridden a little longer, while shorter lengths are more suitable for slalom skis in order to master tight turns. So first you should think about which category or which ski model is suitable for you.
Your ability to ski:
The next thing to consider is your driving ability. If you are still at the beginning of your "ski career" you are better served with a shorter ski. Shorter skis are easier to control and give you the necessary security and maneuverability at low speeds. If you are already a bit more experienced, you can also try longer skis. The advantage is that longer skis guarantee you smoothness and stability even at higher speeds.
Beginner:You start skiing or go skiing occasionally. Turns and stops work, but you're still very careful.
AdvancedYou like blue and red pistes and can make turns with parallel skis at moderate speed.
Skilled:You also ski black slopes. You are used to high speeds and demanding conditions. You focus on your technique.
Your Height:
After all, your height serves as a guide as to which ski length is right for you. Because the ski length should always be in a certain ratio to the body size. In the Stöckli Ski Size Chart below you will find our recommendations for the different categories in terms of skiing ability. These recommendations are based on many years of experience in ski sales and advice. However, they do not necessarily apply to everyone. But it should be a good starting point, especially for less experienced skiers. If you are still unsure which ski length is right for you, you can contact us here at any time. Our experts will be happy to advise you!

TURTLE SHELL
The cut-outs in the Titanal lend torsion neutrality and effortless skiing at a low speed on easy slopes. At higher tempos and rough slopes the Titanal cut-outs interlock. With these cut-outs, the ski is more stable, smoother, and thus lends more security.
BENEFITS:
• Torsionally neutral and smooth at leisurely paces and on simple slopes.
• Athletic and stable at higher tempos on rougher slopes.

TAIL ROCKER
Rocker: A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius.
BENEFITS:
• With the longer, extended rocker, the edge in contact with the snow is decreased, making the ski more playful.
• The longer rocker enables optimum grip when edging

SOLID METAL EDGE
Stöckli has started incorporating wider edges in all of its ski models. This not only extends the lifetime of the ski, but it also pays dividends for ski rental services, where the material is subject to particularly harsh use. In addition, the exceptionally robust materials and a clever design protect the ski surface against scratches and damage.
BENEFITS:
• Longer ski lifespan
• More edge sharpening possible over the lifetime of the ski.

TURTLE GRIP
New surfaces on Laser X models. Slightly nubby texture creates a matte/shiny surface that imparts an elegant look to the design. The top graphics layer is also rugged.
BENEFITS:
• Nicer feel
• A real eye-catcher
• Especially good for rental
ADAPTIVE CONTACT LENGTH
The greater the edge angle, the greater the amount of edge in contact with the snow, and that results in more grip and stability in turns. The playful feel remains without needing to forgo stability.
Benefit:
• The greater the edge angle, the greater the stability and security.
