GIRO
GIRO wurde im Jahr 1985 von Jim Gentes in Santa Cruz, USA gegründet. Damals war das Ziel Fahrradhelme herzustellen. Später, am Ende der 90er Jahre erweiterte GIRO sein Sortiment um Skihelme. Diese beeindruckten durch den hohen Tragekomfort. Je nach Modell lassen Sich die GIRO Helme belüften, was für ein angenehmes Kopfklima sorgt. Ein Unterschied ist kaum zu spüren, ob beim Skifahren eine Mütze oder ein Helm getragen wird. Beides sitzt leicht auf dem Kopf und beides hält warm.
GIRO Skihelme werden inzwischen fast jedes Jahr überarbeitet und verbessert. Die Modelle GIRO G9, G10 und CHAPTER und REVOLVER gehören dabei zu den meistgetragenen Helmen auf der Piste. Wer heutzutage keinen Helm auf der Piste trägt ist schon fast out. Die Helmpflicht sorgt indes dafür, dass GIRO sich weiter auf neue Kreationen im Skihelmdesign konzentriert. Auch die Sicherheit der Kinder liegt GIRO am Herzen. Die angesehensten Kinderhelme sind der TAG Junior und der G9 Junior.
