PATENTED VOLCANIC BANANA TECHNOLOGY AND MAGNE-TRACTION
MATT CUMMINS’ ALL MOUNTAIN FANTASY TERRAIN DESTROYER!
Matt Cummins has the longest running pro model in snowboard history. He has been designing boards with us for over 20 years. This year we cut him loose again on his latest dream board and he came up with an aggressive all terrain C1 freestyle, freeride board he calls the La Niña. The La Niña is a directional shape banana in the front, rocker between your feet and camber (C1) in the back design with Magne-Traction. Matt rides a lot of resort accessible steep pow terrain and the often brutal, to the point of comedy, terrain necessary to get in and out of the pow stashes... and then hits every jib or cat track hit on the way back to the lift. He loves the banana float in the front and suspension and power of camber (C1) in the rear. Fantasy terrain techno quiver killer. Ryan Davis did the art and worked with Matt on the personal photo collage.
• Aggressive directional C1-Banana (Rear Camber/ Nose Banana Combo) with Magne-Traction (C1 BTX)a Suspension)
• H-Pop camel core profile perfect flex under foot
• UHMW sidewalls
• TNT base
• Flex: 6-7 (depending on size)
C1 BANANA CAMBER COMBO BLEND (C1BTX):
Matt Cummins’ directional Mt. Baker freeride set up: banana in front, camber in the rear. Rocker between your feet with flat-to-mild camber from the front foot to nose contact, blended with camber from the back foot to the rear contact area. Focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice and a mild amount of pressure to the tip for unreal catch-free float and shifts our maximum amount of pressure to the tail for power, stability, pop and control in critical situations.
Directional All Terrain Freeride Excels: in all conditions. Epic: pow & speed lines.
“The La Nina boards are the boards I ride every day, powder to high speed icy groomers, they are designed to offer maximum stability and pop in any kind of terrain. The longer nose floats great in the pow but isn’t too long to rip off a kicker. The Cl Banana configuration gives the board a lot of energy in the tail for slashers as well as big hairy landings. Don’t be fooled by the little wigglers out there, this board rides switch great because it’s not tapered and will wiggle and float with the best of them, but she really comes to life when you’re pinned and smashing down your favorite line.” ~Matt Cummins
